LA Based Photographer

I’m originally from a small country in Eastern Europe called Moldova. I lived there for the first 8 years of my childhood. My family and I moved a lot throughout my childhood due to a government job. We’ve lived in places like Washington D.C., Mississippi, Rome, Italy, Northern California, and Washington state. It was difficult moving around so much as a kid, but it taught me how to quickly adapt to any environment and to be flexible with whatever life throws at you. I always had some type of camera while I was growing up and seeing so many beautiful places was always inspiring and got my creativity flowing. I would absolutely *need* to photograph things and take videos and narrate them. It was very much a part of me but I didn’t think anything of it at such a young age.

My mom started a photography business in 2002 and shortly after, brought me on to be her assistant. I quickly learned as much as I could in order to help her succeed in her business.  In spending so much time learning from her, my passion for photography also grew. I’ve always had a great eye for composition and posing, so I guess it was clear that ran in the family! I knew that eventually I wanted to start my own journey with photography. I moved to Los Angeles to pursue my first passions, acting and film, while also being able to launch a photography business. It brings me so much joy being able to work on the things that light my soul on fire daily. I feel so blessed to have found my artistic callings in life and I get very happy knowing that I get to share it with my amazing clients. I look forward to working with you and learning more about your story!

Testimonials

This was my first time having professional pictures taken. I was nervous about what to expect and was concerned about not knowing what to do for the photos (a bit of a shy picture taker here!) but Ana IMMEDIATELY made me feel comfortable and knew exactly what to do. She has the eye and can bring out the poses from anyone, I am convinced! Overall, this was the most enjoyable experience ever and I would recommend her to everyone! Such a kind, professional, and meticulous photographer who will go the extra mile to make it perfect!

Working with Ana was great. I was in need of some branding and lifestyle photos for my website and she did an amazing job. She brought my vision to life and gave many awesome ideas of her own. She was so patient and had nice posing ideas. I loved the finished products and would hire her again for any future photography needs.

Where do I begin? Not only did the photos from the shoot turn out absolutely incredible, but the experience and the time spent with Ana was well worth the cost alone. As we all know, starting out with a photographer that we’ve never worked with before can have us a little on the anxious side, but let me reassure you. A day prior to the shoot, she sent me a bunch of inspiration pictures and asked my opinion on them as we worked together to see what looks I was then looking for. Although everything was well organized and planned, it was also extremely spontaneous! And I truly believe that is also why the photos came out so amazing and original. The environment she created was so much fun to be in, and that really allowed for me to get rid of those excess nerves I had before-hand. I can't recommend her enough, and can’t wait to book with her again!

She did my engagement photos and I couldn’t be happier! She was able to captivate the love that my fiancé and I share. She was very responsive, got back to me within just a few hours. She was so nice and accommodating and I honestly just couldn’t be happier with the results. I would recommend her for literally anything! I’ll definitely be using her again.

Ana was a dream to shoot with. She makes you feel right at home when taking your photo. I loved the directions she gave and the turn around time to get photo selects was quick. Great quality photos too. Thanks Ana, I can't wait to shoot with you again in the future.
